This dark mode feature uses dark hues and is not completely black as we all expected it to be but we believe the black mode will be out soon.

- Go to settings
Chats
Under Display select the theme
Then choose dark to enable the dark mode feature.
You can also choose set by battery saver: when this feature is selected, WhatsApp will automatically turn to dark mode when you are on a battery-saving mode.
