Best-selling Electric Vehicles Of 2023 That Can Be Acquired For Use In Ghana

Electric cars in Ghana have been making a name for themselves since their introduction into the automotive market.

They have been fighting head to head with their gasoline counterparts and although they have not completely taken over the market, the direction of technology and the coming future shows that they could do so in and few years to come.

That fight is led by American electric car giant, Tesla.

Electric vehicles are cars that are powered by electric batteries which have been charged by electricity instead of the usual fuel. Electric cars do not use an engine since they do not have any use for gasoline fuel.

There are some EV vehicles, as they are mostly known, out there that are making giant sales numbers that prove the fact that electric vehicles are here to stay. These EV vehicles come with features that surpass some of their gasoline counterparts in terms of comfort, safety, and drive experience.

We have made a compilation of some of the best-selling EV vehicles out there as far as 2022 is concerned. Most of these sales were recorded in the United States. Let us now take a look at the best-selling EVs of 2022.

Hyundai Ioniq Electric

The Hyundai Ioniq is one of the best EVs out there that caters to the middle-class buyer who wants an electric experience after years of listening engines grumble into his ears. The car comes with a small 38.3 kWh battery pack and has an estimated range of 170miles per full charge. There is also a hybrid plug-in version for people who find the 170miles range too small. The EV Ioniq sold 445 units in the first quarter of 2021.

Volkswagen is one of the biggest known brands in the world although the automaker seems to have lost its shine among the new generation of drivers. The ID.4 electric vehicle by the company has already sold more than 474 units despite being released in the United States in early March.

Owners of the ID.4 will have 260 miles of range at their disposal and a rear-wheel-drive experience. The launch edition came with 201 horsepower while the 302 horsepower version will be available to buyers later.

Hyundai Kona Electric

The Hyundai Kona has been able to fetch more sales than its stablemate, the Ioniq. With a larger battery capacity that comes with an estimated range of 258 miles compared to the Ioniq’s 170 miles, we see why the Kona has been able to sell more than the Ioniq in the same quarter of 2021.

However, the Ioniq has more cargo space than the Kona and this could influence purchasing decisions as well

Porsche Taycan

Here is one EV that can be termed as a sports EV. The Taycan is manufactured by german automotive giant Porsche and has a similar design to the Porsche 911 which has a price tag of $1 million (we know that is out of your budget at the moment so don’t worry).

Despite its price tag, it has been able to sell over 2008 units in the first quarter of 2021 and we believe that numbers will keep rising because people seem to be in love with the sleek design.

Audi E-Tron

The e-Tron crossover by the German automaker Audi has been able to find more than 4000 homes after it was made available for sale. It comes with a two-motor all-wheel drive and 335 horsepower.

It has an estimated range of 222 miles on a full charge while the Sportback version can hit 228 miles. You might complain about the price tag later but before you do, you should know that the interior of the Audi e-Tron comes in leather with real wood and not plastic.
