How You Can Hide Your Number When You Make Calls On MTN

MTN Ghana, which is one of the biggest telecom companies in the country, has many services available to its subscribers.

There are several offers that subscribers can get, such as the ‘MTN free after one’, which is an offer that allows subscribers to pay for only the first minute of a call, after which the remaining minutes will all be free.

Aside from this, the network also has data bundles that do not expire. This has made MTN Ghana the favourite of many people in the country.

The data bundles that they sell together with the call rates have gotten them a lot of subscribers who use the network.

Another thing that MTN customers can get on the network is making an anonymous call on the web.

You may have received a phone call on the network before, and when you checked to see who the caller was, all you could see was an unknown number. After you receive such a call, what comes into your head?

Some of your friends already know how to get the feature on MTN, and they could even use it to call you and act like they have traveled outside the country because they know that you do not know how to activate the ‘unknown number’ feature.

Later, you find out that they have not travelled anywhere and that it was just a prank they were playing on you. It is possible to call someone with an unknown number on MTN.

There is a procedure through which you can activate the feature on your phone so that you can make calls without the recipient knowing that you are the one calling them.

So if you are looking to make anonymous calls to your friends so that you can lie to them that you have travelled to the United States, then this article right here will teach you exactly how you can go about it.

How To Active The ‘Hidden Number Feature’ On MTN Ghana

Activating this feature on your phone is relatively easy to do. You can hide the number and then unhide it as many times as you wish when making calls on the MTN network.

However, like every great offer from any telecom company, it is not free, and you will have to pay for it every month.

Flexing does not come cheap, but in this case, you will be able to flex for GHS 2 each month.

If you have that kind of money and you are ready to activate the feature, follow the steps below to get it done.

  1. Dial 1333
  2. Input a new PIN code
  3. Now confirm the new PIN code
  4. Create an SMS and then type in ‘clir<Space>activate<space>pin
  5. Now send the message to 1333
  6. The feature will then be instantly activated

After the feature has been activated, all you need to do is to dial *67 in front of a number you call so that your number will appear as an ‘unknown number’ when they receive your call.

Conclusion

Remember that the feature is not free and that you will be paying an amount of GHS 2 each month for as long as you use it.

There are several reasons why you want to make your number unknown. Still, we would advise that you do not use this feature for fraudulent activities because your friends or any other person will not be able to see your number when you call does not mean that MTN cannot see it.

They see it, and any fraudulent activity will land you in trouble. This feature is meant for fun or call protection and should be used as such, and you should not utilise it for nefarious activities.
