The tip about the iPhone 13 Mini being the last ‘Mini’ model came from a YouTuber who is known for leaking important news concerning apple to the public. A post by the YouTuber stated:

There will not be a 14 mini next year
So if you’ve been thinking about trying the mini, the 13 mini is your last chance
With that said…I did not purchase the iPhone 13 mini.

The decision to cut the iPhone Mini model is due to the inadequate response from buyers. Taking this new step means that the Mini model has not been selling well as Apple hoped it would. Indeed, the sales number of the Mini models did not meet the expectations of the tech giant. Hence, the decision to scrap the Mini model from the lineup.
Before this reveal by the YouTuber, an analyst known as Ming-Chi Kuo stated that the next year apple iPhones would not be coming with a mini model in the lineup.

The new mini is almost the same as the previous iPhone 12 mini. It comes with a 5.4-inch Super Retina XDA display and has a smaller battery when compared to the one inside the iPhone 13. Apart from that, all other features of the iPhone 13 minis are similar to the regular iPhone 13 model. It is powered by a new A15 Bionic chip, just like the rest of the models in the lineup, and runs on the latest IOS 15, just like the other models as well.
The iPhone 13 smartphone series saw pre-orders starting from the 17th of September, while the smartphones were made available for purchase on the 24th of September. The smartphones are available in the USA, Japan, China, Canada, India, England, and Australia
