Google To Integrate Ghana Post GPS Into Its Maps System

Ghanaians have woke up to good news, which is about their new Ghana Post GPS Address system.

The Ghana Post GPS is an app launched to make navigating in Ghana easy to do.

With this app, one can move to any place without the need to ask for directions. Aside from navigating, this system also gives each house a GPS code, which you can always use when making registrations.

When the app was launched, Ghanaians were was happy using it, but many people who were addicted to Google maps were finding it challenging to use it because it was not integrated inside the app.

So any Ghanaian that uses maps to navigate will then also have to install the two apps, Google maps, and the Ghana Post GPS.

Now Ghana has successfully agreed with Google to include the country’s GPS to the Google maps.

The vice president, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, made it known at the YouthConnekt Africa Summit, which happened in Accra.

He said, “We have engaged google since last year, and we have now obtained the agreement because they have to go through technical processes to evaluate our GPS digital system, and so by the end of this year, Goggle have agreed to allow us to integrate our digital address system into goggle maps. So people can use them here in Ghana.”

When this system is finally implemented on Google maps, you can then search for a GPS address inside Google maps, and it will then be able to navigate you through. For now, Google maps is not able to direct you using your Ghana GPS Address.

The vice president also made it known that the integration Will be available by the end of the year, and so Ghanaians should expect to use google maps with the country’s GPS Address.
